Today we have so many choices for selecting Circuit Simulators but you will definitely get confused of selecting the best one, which will do your job and makes you understand each and every circuit simulation clearly. First of all I will tell you the features or the functions a circuit simulator should have. Firstly the simulator should be easy to us, it means the tools available in it should be easy to grasp and use them in the circuit simulation. Second it should be able to provide the individual tools (Instruments), which one uses in the Electronics Lab. It should be able to give the correct approximation (or idea) of the results when one uses the practical values of the lab and implemented them on circuit simulator most of the times. And if the simulator is able to provide you with the tools which can appeal to the lab environment then it would be much better.

Now here I list few circuit simulators which are quite famous and among them I will pick the ones that gives you all the features which are mentioned in the above.

List of Best Circuit Simulation Softwares

Free Circuit simulation Softwares

Paid Circuit simulators

The above shown all Circuit Simulation Softwares are very good and easy to use and you can get all the details of them by visiting their link. Now you are provided with the best list of Circuit Simulation Softwares and it’s a dilemma for everyone that which would be a better circuit simulation Software.I found one which is the best electronic circuit simulation Application for all types of needs. It gives you a clear idea of many equipment in the laboratory. And that simulator is NI MultiSIM which fulfill the needs which I mentioned in the beginning of this article. Here I’ll tell you why it is the best circuit Simulator from students perspective.

Multisim Circuit Simulator

It is a great simulation software from National Instruments for electronic design engineers, academic professionals and educators, colleges, students, universities and professionals. It is very user-friendly and has wide variety of virtual equipment like DSO (digital storage oscilloscope), Function generator, Multimeter, Watt generator, Agilent multimeter , logic analyzer and many more…
Virtual DSO in Multisim
It’s very easy to use, all the virtual instruments available in the Multisim are really amazing, you can even analyze your circuit very well just like you do in the lab. It is mainly useful to all the students who do experiments in the lab and make a record of it, this is even sometimes helpful to practice without the help of real Electronics equipment. In the beginning of laboratory experiments students are not very familiar with the equipment and for those purposes Multisim is very helpful, it gives  virtual experience of laboratory equipment.
In this simulator you are provided with all the necessary components required to design a circuit.

Multisim is available in free and paid versions. Free version is student’s edition and its sufficient for solving the problems of their lab.  And the paid version is professional and can design resolve any type of circuit. For working and simulation of ICs (PCB simulation) Ultiboard is used and it comes with Multisim. Recently Multisim Blue was released , it is  a  latest version  which is available for free.
There is one more very good simulation application which is “Every Circuit”.

Every Circuit Circuit Simulation app

It’s an online Electronic circuit simulator (web app) which has great interface. In this simulator the flow of current (electrons) is shown very clearly which is very good and gives lot of clarity regarding the circuit or the behaviour of components.

It is available for smartphones too. You can download “Every circuit” simulation app for Android, IOS etc. If you get acquainted with ‘Multisim’ and ‘Every circuit’ then you cannot leave them because they are very helpful and can solve many of your questions regarding circuits.

But for accessing Every circuit You need internet on your PC, I found one method with which you can use Every Circuit in your PC without internet. The trick is to use android emulator in your PC like Bluestacks and install Every Circuit android app in it. That’s all you can happily use every circuit on your PC without connecting to the web. Multisim and Every circuit are very useful such that whenever you are not able to clear your doubts with one you can switch to the other and definitely with the help of these two you can solve most of your doubts and get grip on your electronics subject. I hope that this article for Best electronic circuit simulators will be useful and you find the simulators Multisim and Every circuit very handy  for  solving most of the circuit problems.

If you have any doubts regarding, working, usage, components or any other about Circuit simulators, don’t hesitate to comment and clarify your doubts.

If you think it helped you then don’t forget to share with your friends…

  1. For better design, a good electronic circuit design tool is necessary. I’d like to share with you an efficient EDA tool called EasyEDA which I have used for a long time. It is the best circuit design tool for me, free, zero-install, easy to use and brings you easier EDA experience. It integrates powerful schematic capture, mixed-mode circuit simulation and PCB layout. One of the advantages is certainly that you can edit the schematics wherever an Internet connection and a current browser is available.
It can import Schematics and PCB Files form Eagle, Altium Designer, Kicad, LTspice.
It provides SVG source to preview Schematic, PCB Layout and Gerber file
It provides rich spice models to make simulation .
It provivdes simulation viewform viewer .
It provides easy PCB order which saves your time to make sample PCB .
Every project you create on can be private, shared, or public.private, shared, or public.

  2. Hi, thanks for sharing.
I think it would be good to see EasyEDA add to the list of free circuit simulation softwares.
It offers schematic capture, spice simulation and PCB design – including Gerber download – for free.
Excellent simulation product. Very fast and accurate. Lots of devices – both analog and digital. Has a great device editor so you can also build your own devices and models.

    Just try it at:

  3. Thanks Bash’
The circuits class I’m in uses Circuit Lab but I use MultiSim. I saw Every Circuit the other day and was intrigued by the current flow animation and that you could change component values while you simulate and it instantly shows up on the graph… Good to know they are synergistic before buying it…

    Thanks for the write up…

  4. Please always mark if you need the internet for using it or it works offline, because internet very expensive in me and Africa

  5. Very good info. Lucky me I recently found your blog by chance
(stumbleupon). I’ve bookmarked it for later!
